Hide or unhide like counts on Instagram posts and reels
You can change whether you see the total number of likes on posts and reels that appear on Instagram.
Posts and reels you see
To hide or unhide like counts for others' posts and reels:
- Tap
or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
- Tap
in the top right.
- Below What you see, tap Like and share counts.
- Tap
or
next to Hide like & share counts to turn this setting on or off.
Note that on Threads, the number of likes, views, reposts and quotes on posts from other Threads profiles will also be hidden when this setting is on.
Your posts in Feed
You can also choose whether others can see like and view counts for posts you share. You'll still be able to see the total number of likes on your own posts.
To hide or unhide like and view counts before sharing your post:
- Before sharing a post, tap Advanced settings at the bottom.
- Tap
To hide or unhide the likes for a post you've already shared to Feed:- Tap
in the top right of your post.
- Tap Hide like count to others. Tap Unhide like count to others to turn this setting off.
