How do I access or review my data on Instagram?
You're in control of your data on Instagram. You can view your account data or download a copy of your data on Instagram at any time.
Reviewing your data on Instagram
Instagram app for Android and iPhone:
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right, then tapactivity controlsYour activity.
  3. Tap Account History, to view changes you’ve made to your account. From here, you may be able to make additional changes by tapping on the change.
  4. To filter your account history, tap Sort & Filter in the top right and select your sorting preferences or the date range, then tap Apply.
Instagram.com from a computer:
You'll need to download your data to review it.
  1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner, then click settingsSettings.
  2. Click Privacy and security.
  3. Scroll down to Data download and click Request download.
  4. Enter the email address where you'd like to receive a link to your data.
  5. Click next to HTML or JSON to select the format you'd like to receive your data in, then click Next.
  6. Enter your Instagram account password and click Request download.
  7. You'll soon receive an email titled Your Instagram Data with a link to your data. Click Download data and follow the instructions to finish downloading your information.
Instagram.com from a mobile browser:
You'll need to download your data to review it.
  1. Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.

  3. Tap Privacy and security.
  4. Scroll down to Data download and tap Request download.
  5. Enter the email address where you'd like to receive a link to your data.
  6. Tap next to HTML or JSON to select the format you'd like to receive your data in, then tap Next.
  7. Enter your Instagram account password and tap Request download.
  8. You'll soon receive an email titled Your Instagram Data with a link to your data. Tap Download data and follow the instructions to finish downloading your information.
Downloading a copy of your data on Instagram
If you want a copy of everything you've shared on Instagram, you can request a download of your data in a machine readable HTML or JSON format. You'll need your Instagram account password to request this information. Learn more if you've forgotten your password or can't log in.
Instagram app for Android and iPhone:
  1. Tap profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  2. Tap more options in the top right, then tapactivity controlsYour activity.
  3. Tap download your informationDownload your information.
    1. Enter the email address where you'd like to receive a link to your data, then tap Apply.
    2. Enter the date range, then tap Apply.
    3. Tap next to the content you’d like to download, then tap next to the file format you’d like to get your information in. Tap Get File.
    4. Enter your Instagram account password and tap Continue, then tap Done. Before receiving your Instagram data, you can cancel your request by tapping Cancel Download.
    5. You'll soon receive an email titled Your Instagram Data with a link to your data. Tap Download data and follow the instructions to finish downloading your information.

Note: It may take up to 48 hours for us to email you a download link. Some data you have deleted may be stored temporarily for safety and security purposes, but will not appear when you access or download your data.
